The Syfy network is developing miniseries projects based on two classic sci-fi novels: Larry Niven's Ringworld, and Arthur C. Syfy is looking to bring two more sci-fi classics to life on your TV screen. Majical Cloudz, a music project more than a music artist, has an album out in May, Impersonator, and nothing could get me more excited for it than a listen to Childhood's End. Clarke about a tipping point in human evolution. Syfy might get a lot of flack for some pretty terrible science fiction television movies and silly series' but at the same time this is also the cable network. Visually stunning and conceptually intriguing, Emily Kai Bock's latest music promo blends lavish black and white cinematography with a somewhat haunting. The Montreal weird-pop act readies their first album for their new label. The Uptown Theatre, in the midst of a large remodel, hosted Central New York's own Childhood's End for a celebration of 4/20. Save for their elusive contribution to Grimes' debut LP, I hadn't heard anything from the Montreal duo before walking into the M for Montreal SXSW showcase a few weeks ago. I'm a latecomer to Majical Cloudz.
